Taking comfort

where I find it, I will note that this week is the Westminster Dog Show, and there is some very funny coverage at the Times! The Clydesdales of the dog world, as it were (some suspect grammatical usage there--"laying"? "girthiest"?!?). Not triathlon-related, but appealing in any case...

My favorite part is Patty Hearst showing her dog. I was OBSESSED with her kidnapping, and of course have followed her subsequent...hmm, not sure it can be called a career. Path?

I love the dog show, I already have it set to DVR.
I think perhaps I need to get a life, but I'll think about that after I see the Springers showing.... maybe she'll win again this year!

Oh, no, the dog show is high-level entertainment, I would not feel remorseful about that!

Becca: the eighteenth-century term might be "fortunes" or "vicissitudes"--or perhaps just "trials and tribulations"!
