Friday - nothing, still sick.
Saaturday - slept 11 hrs (my brother got out of the hospital yesterday finally, huge relief!), 30 as 1:1 which I hugely appreciated and hten an hour of ball release therapy yoga - sort of a "do your own thing" session which I thoroughly enjoyed as well. Very good start to my last day in Cayman, and I really am feeling somewhat better this morning - still a lot of junk in lungs inevitably, but not a ton of NEW junk, which makes a big difference...

30 as 1:1, very enjoyable. Lungs a little dodgy, toe a little sore, but happy to be out there! This August has not had as much exercise as I would have liked, but it is bliss compared to last August when my back was so painful.

Tuesday was a zero, still feeling pretty well (just STREAMING sinuses), but things dried up overnight and I had a nice little 30 as 1:1 when I got up this morning. Cleaner day....

Nothing Sunday and nothing today, I am sick - it was coming on Saturday over the course of the day. Seems like sinus infection rather than full-on lung ailment, which bodes well for quicker recovery. Better this week than next, but - ugh...

Friday: 15 mins walk to 6am hot yoga, really enjoyable.
Saturday: David let me do 30 as 1:1! Very nice - foot a bit achy to start (not nearly as bad as it was in July), warms up into feeling close but not entirely identical to other foot. A quick protein shake with Brent at Cafe del Sol, then 7am BRT yoga, with focus today on quads and hamstrings. PERFECT!

Tuesday-Thursday update

Tuesday: early swim cut short by thunder and lightning!
Wednesday: about 50 mins early swim and water run
Thursday: just 10 mins swim in Brent's condo pool in lieu of taking a zero - off to a late start getting down to proper work (last stroke and stride race went off well last night, but volunteering is tiring!), decided I'd better not do midmorning hot yoga (and also want to do the class tomorrow morning, figuring that while foot is recovering I shouldn't do adjacent days)

Saturday-Monday update

Have been a bit lax in logging. Saturday: 7am BRT yoga, really good. Sunday: alas, got to 9:30 yoga and it had been canceled! Had 15 mins walk home and about 10 mins swimming before the arrival of small children precipitated my exit. Monday: didn't go to early hot class, we were out yesterday evening and it was close to midnight before I was asleep, but the 10:30 class was thoroughly enjoyable. (A bit short - teacher forgot to show, and front desk other teacher didn't realize we hadn't started already.)

Foot is noticeably better, feeling very happy about this.

Friday hot!

15 mins walk to 6am hot yoga, very good, modified as necessary. Brent came and picked me up afterwards, it's not banned as such but I'm trying not to spend too much time on my feet as per doc's instructions.

Ugh, out of sorts today, I think really the problem was that my normal fueling plan doesn't leave me fully charged for a lunchtime class (12:15 core at the gym). Everything about it was slightly horrible and I wanted to cry throughout! Will pretty certainly feel much better once I eat the microwave meal that is currently heating....

Pool time

60 mins, 30 swim (10 x 4x alternating swim and kick) and 30 pool jog. That's it for today, it's cleaner day and also stroke and stride #2 - tomorrow I might try a spin or yoga as an alternative.

50 mins swim easy and early at Brent's office. Hahaha, a seemingly INTERMINABLE set of 20 x 4x alternating swim and kick. Think I will have a foray to the gym at midday, just gotta check that the core class is really happening (August schedules here get wayward).

Saturday-Monday catchup

Saturday: 7am BRT yoga (very good)
Sunday: 9:30 flow + meditation. Teachers are really great about letting me modify so that I don't put weight on my foot!
Monday: 1hr pool time at the Grand Pavilion (kick, drill, swim plus 10 mins pool running)

2pm flow + meditation. It is a great class, but I think I have to stick to hot/core/BRT while my foot is so sore. Feeling rather tired and dispirited - stroke and stride race went really well last night, but I was late to bed, and I'm worried about Jose in Philadelphia, his kidney levels are elevated....

1hr as 1:1, nice, but sore foot is bothering me. The dreaded cleaner day + stroke and stride #1 in the evening (I am just volunteering obvs) mean no yoga, but I will make sure to do PT in the afternoon.

Monday: 2 x 15 min walk to and from 6am hot yoga. It was PERFECT, hot but not too hot - lower humidity outside, maybe, and only four people in class (air a lot fresher than usual!).

Tuesday: 1hr as 1:1, very nice, slight ache in foot and back (back benefited from week off from running no doubt). Will just do 1:1 for next two days, then foot doc appointment on Friday afternoon.

Saturday: 7am ball release therapy yoga; 30 mins late morning swim at Sunset House.

Sunday: 9:30-10:45 flow + meditation yoga (started with some more ball release, unusually this time using two balls on both sides first of bottom of spinal erectors and then of neck/cervical spine). Will swim later.

No swim due to extreme itchiness and desire not to put a second layer on top of the first! Did PT in the am, then 2pm flow + meditation with Chantelle at Bliss - very good class.
